Pre-drive briefing
The trail, the vehicle, the radio, the rules. Everything you need before the wheels roll.
A guided offroad experience at Killarney 4x4 Park, in Shongweni, KZN — instructor-led, hands-on, and built for every skill level from "never done this" to "let's go again."
Guided ride + you-take-the-wheel session at Killarney 4x4 Park. A half-day on the trail, top-to-bottom instruction, real obstacles, real terrain.
The trail, the vehicle, the radio, the rules. Everything you need before the wheels roll.
Your instructor drives first, narrating every input — line, throttle, gear, weight transfer.
You take the wheel. A substantial driving session covering varied terrain, all supervised.
Briefed safety procedures and trail-side recovery gear. We don't ride without it.
How to read water, pick a line, and keep momentum through the wet stuff.
Rocks, gullies, off-camber climbs and axle-twisters — the proper stuff, not a demo loop.
Plan for roughly 3–4 hours on the ground — briefing, demo, your driving session and debrief. Bring water, sunblock, closed shoes.
Every rider starts with a full briefing — vehicle controls, signals, radio etiquette, and how to communicate with the instructor on the trail.
An instructor is in the vehicle with you. You're never alone on an obstacle. Calm voice, clear coaching, no surprises.
Tyres, recovery points, fluids, straps — checked before every session. We don't roll until everything's right.
If a vehicle gets stuck (it happens — that's offroad), we have the gear and the know-how to recover it cleanly and safely.
No — the experience is built around our vehicle and our instructor. Bring yourself, closed shoes and a sense of adventure. If you own a 4x4 and want a specific tuition session in your own rig, get in touch and we'll tailor it.
Perfect. That's exactly who this is for. We start with the basics, demo every obstacle, and never put you in a position you aren't ready for. By the end of the day you'll have driven things that would have intimidated you that morning.
Average fitness is fine. You're sitting in a vehicle for most of it. You should be able to get in and out of a 4x4 unaided and stand around in the sun for short periods.
Closed shoes (no sandals), comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dusty, sunblock, a cap, and at least 1.5L of water. We'll send detailed joining instructions once you've booked.
The R350 launch rate is available to the first 20 confirmed bookings. After that, regular pricing applies — call 064 624 3092 for current rates and seasonal specials.
You'll need a valid driver's licence to take the wheel. For passengers / ride-along guests, please contact us — we'll talk through what's appropriate for younger riders.
Light rain is fine — and often makes the terrain more interesting. In the case of severe weather we'll reschedule at no charge. Your safety beats our calendar every time.
Drop us a message or call directly via Whatsapp — we'll get you booked in.
